We are looking for home delivery drivers to help drop off food to our local homebound clients that aren't able to pick the food up. Driver must be consistent for shifts. :)

*The drop off days are the 2nd and 4th Thursday or Friday of each month. Anytime between 10am and 4pm. 

From the sales floor to cash register to receiving, stocking & sorting donations, we always need people like you!

You don't need to shop to give back to your Sky Valley community. A warm smile and helping hand makes a difference.

Come help with Setup, Pre-Race, Finish Line During Race, Course Monitors in Snohomish or Tear Down

Need help preparing supplies for our biggest event of the year the next day. Tasks will include, preparing supply packets for each table and stuffing gift bags.

*Lunch will be provided

We are looking for a driver to drive a 15 passenger van on day trips for seniors. Day trips are 2-5 hours depending on the trip. Minimum of two trips a month, maximum two trips per week. :)

Date & Hours: Monday-Saturday, between 8-6pm, depending on trip date and time.

*Must be 21 year of age and able to pass vehicle driving test

This volunteer opportunity consists of sorting, stocking food, portioning bulk food, and helping distribute food to clients.

Food Bank Shifts: 

8:00am-2:30pm

8:00am-11:15am

11:00am-2:30p

When you arrive at the Food Bank, please park on the side street and come through the side door in the parking lot.

VOA’s volunteer Pickleball Ambassadors oversee daily pickleball operations, ensuring a positive experience for all players. In exchange for their ongoing service, Pickleball Ambassadors can enjoy free pickleball play during open sessions at the Sky Valley Center.

Pickleball Ambassador Responsibilities:

o   Ensure a positive environment for all players: welcome new players; orient new players to rules and etiquette; enforce VOA’s Code of Conduct and pickleball rules.

o   Set-up pickleball courts at beginning of session, take down at end of session, and ensure gym is clean and free of debris at end of session.

o   Communicate as soon as possible with Center Manager in event of absence due to illness or unforeseen event; participant violation of Code of Conduct; equipment issues; or facility concerns.

o   Agree to oversee one full pickleball session each week, and communicate with at least two weeks’ notice in event of upcoming absence.

o   Ensure that all players who participate have completed a VOA registration or membership form, have checked in at the Sky Valley Center, and have: 1) paid a daily rate or punch card; 2) receive financial assistance to play; 3) are playing w/ a promotion (ex: free pass, one week free); or are a VOA-approved Ambassador, staff or partner.

We are needing drivers to help pick up the guests and take them to the Cold Weather Shelter in Lynnwood. Please respond to need for details!!!!!!!!

Help at the Sultan Community Lunch! Tuesdays and Thursdays. If interested, please respond and let me know what day you would like to help! 

Volunteer duties:

Set up dinning room for lunch crowd

Serve food from steamers or to table depending on what lunch is for day

Help cook with any duties for prepping lunch items.

As a teen night/safe stop chaperon, you will be responsible for keeping a watchful eye on the teens that attend. You will interact with them on a professional level and be a positive role model for them. Your responsibilities are subject to change depending on the events of the night. Location: Sultan Boys and Girls Club

Trip Assistant volunteers agree to assist the Trip Leader and commit to assisting 2 or more trips, on average, each month. In exchange, Trip Assistant's attraction fees and lunch (if applicable; depending on individual trip) will be paid by VOA.

1. Assist in leading a variety of trips for seniors (50+), building relationships and creating welcoming, warm environment.

2.  Ensuring the safety and quality of experience of guests.

3.  Build positive relationships in one-on-one and via small groups to facilitate connection and belonging.

4. Make decisions utilizing good judgment and solution focus as needed in unexpected circumstances. 

Physical Requirements:

Looking for a team of 4 volunteers to help paint this summer! Our Sultan Campus is needing the kitchen walls and ceiling painted!!!!! Either a Friday or Saturday. 

During the holidays and special events, we are always needing volunteers to help with small projects!

VOA's Early Resolution Program (ERP) mediates with landlords and tenants to help resolve back rent issues and keep people in their homes.

We also offer a Landlord-Tenant/Small Claims Court Mediator practitioner track for those interested in mediating in the court to help alleviate the backlog on small claims court cases.

* Volunteer hours are any hours between 9am-4pm

Volunteers needed on Mondays to call Bingo from 1pm-3pm. You will be calling Bingo to a group of 25 seniors using a professional Bingo system which includes a casino grade ball spinner. 

High energy and flexible attitude is desired! 

No experience needed. Training will be provided. 

Do you have experience driving? Would you like to go on adventures with our seniors? The Carl Gipson Center is looking for drivers who have the ability to drive a 15 passenger vehicle. CDL is not required. 

Trips are usually between 5-6 hours and begin and end at the Carl Gipson Center. A staff member always accompanies the group. 

Trips are scheduled around driver availability. 

A driver's abstract and a reasonable driving record are required. 

Training on vehicle use will be provided. 

VOA's Carl Gipson Center is a 20,000 ft sq community center that focuses on seniors (50+) during all operational hours, and welcomes people of all ages after 2pm on M-Th and all day Saturday.

We depend on reliable, positive volunteers to offer programs, classes, clubs and services to our community. Examples include: dancing, drama/theater production, music, scrapbooking, and inclusive groups based on shared experience, culture, language and/or country of origin. 

Are you passionate about a specific area or topic? Do you have advanced skills in an area and an interest in sharing your knowledge? Are you gifted at building small, inclusive communities through regular activities at the Center?

If you are interested in volunteering for a regular frequency of service (ex: weekly, monthly, etc.) and creating a special space in downtown Everett, this is the opportunity for you.

Principal Activities:

Develop positive relationships with members and participants 

Process new member applications

Update member information as needed

Check-in members and participants for activities

Act as a cashier for members' payments of dues, parking fees, and other financial transactions

Provide consistent center and agency information, and orient new members

Refer members as appropriate to programs and/or staff based on member goals/interests

Encourage member involvement and identify potential volunteers 

Proactively make sure members understand policies

Must possess basic computer skills

The Monroe and Sultan ECEAP preschools are in need of van drivers to pick up and drop off the preschoolers to and from home! :)

The Carl Gipson Center is needing help in the kitchen with washing dishes. 

Volunteer days/hours: ( choose any ) 

Monday-Friday- 10:30am-1:00pm

We need of a committed leader to coordinate our weekly Clothing Closet. 

The role requires two shifts: one on a weekday or Friday morning, to prepare to serve families; and the other on Fridays from 1:30 to 4:30pm. 

Role Responsibilities:

Sort new clothing donations, evaluating for quality. Organize those that are new and/or of good quality in racks and bins of our mobile Clothing Closet. Bag other clothes for donation or disposal.

Create and enact policies and procedures for families receiving donations.

On Friday afternoons: With help from Center staff and volunteers, set up Clothing Closet racks and bins upstairs; serve & track families coming through Closet; put away Closet at 4:30pm.

Communicate with Center leadership about much-needed items, for communication with potential donors.
