Purrfect Pals is seeking a reliable and organized Facilities & Maintenance Volunteer to help support the daily operations of our cat sanctuary. This volunteer role is perfect for someone who enjoys coordinating projects, communicating with vendors, and helping keep our facilities safe and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate facility-related services such as:
- Septic inspections and repairs
- Pest control appointments
- General maintenance and repair services
- Communicate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Assist with handyman and light maintenance tasks around the sanctuary
- Track maintenance needs and help prioritize projects
- Partner closely with the Operations Coordinator to support facility operations
- Help ensure the sanctuary remains clean, safe, and functional for cats, volunteers, and staff
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable making phone calls, scheduling appointments, and following up with vendors
- Basic handyman or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced animal welfare environment
Time Commitment
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Potential for additional hours up to 32 hours per week depending on organizational needs and volunteer availability
