Girls on the Run Snohomish county is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to enhance participants' social, emotional and physical skills to successfully navigate life experiences. Our work in Snohomish County began in 2015 with 40 kids in the Edmonds School District and has grown over the past decade to reach 700-800 kids a year in ten school districts.
We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
What We Do
Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others. Our after-school program and summer day camp, give girls and gender-expansive youth an inclusive space to explore topics like friendship, emotions, confidence, physical activity, community, and more. The programs address kids' physical, mental, emotional, social, and behavioral health in a fun way inspiring girls to be healthy, joyful, and confident.
