Purrfect Pals is seeking reliable and compassionate Volunteer Drivers to support the daily operations of our cat rescue and adoption programs. Volunteer Drivers play a vital role in ensuring cats receive timely veterinary care and helping us keep our shelter and partner locations stocked with essential supplies.
Position Summary
Volunteer Drivers provide safe and dependable transportation for cats and supplies as part of our lifesaving mission. This includes driving cats to and from veterinary appointments, transporting cats to and from our Renton PetSmart adoption location, and picking up donated supplies from partner stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport cats safely to and from veterinary appointments
- Shuttle cats between Purrfect Pals and the Renton PetSmart adoption center
- Pick up donated supplies from partner businesses and deliver them to designated locations
- Ensure animals are transported securely and with care using provided carriers and protocols
- Communicate promptly about pick-ups, drop-offs, and scheduling updates
Ideal Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving locally and managing occasional multiple stops
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (for carriers and supplies)
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude when interacting with staff and partners
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Availability
We are especially seeking volunteers with flexible weekday availability to accommodate veterinary appointments and donation pickups, which often occur during business hours. Scheduling is coordinated in advance whenever possible, with occasional short-notice needs depending on animal care requirements.
