This event is in partnership with the Arlington Police Department and Walmart. We connect children from families we have been working with to an officer or first responder and they go shopping in Walmart with $150 gift card. The kids can spend the money how they would like, on themselves or their families, and we have an option for the kids to wrap the gifts regardless of who they are for. This year we will also have an activity table for the kids that have finished shopping and are waiting on their brothers and sisters. We will have ornament decorating, coloring pages and other small activities there. We are looking for volunteers to help at the gift wrapping station and activity table. :)
This is a festive event, so wearing an ugly sweater, santa hat, or other holiday wear is welcomed but not required.
